Architect, artist and designer

PERLON RIPS LCS PLAIN – Woven carpet as broadloom, carpet tile or plank inspired by Le Corbusier

Multicolour plain broadloom, carpet tile or plank with pile loop surface in 63 colours.

Not all colours are created equal. They are also passion, energy and emotion. It’s always different. Again and again. As in the 63 architectural colours of Le Corbusier, all of which are part of the collection PERLON RIPS LCS PLAIN. A woven, multicoloured unpatterned carpet with a loop pile surface for an infinite number of design possibilities. And for surprising combinations that – no matter whether as broadloom, carpet tile or plank – always succeed in creating a very special atmosphere in perfect harmony.

Le Corbusier

Le Corbusier – this name stands for more than architecture, art and design. It stands for a style icon and for a visionary whose timeless concepts and ideas are still regarded as trend setting and innovative to this day. He was both a builder and an artist. He paid attention to shapes and proportions. And at the same time he knew about the effect of colours and their very special radiance. Le Corbusier always looked beyond the box. With a view to the bigger picture. But also with a feeling for every tiny detail.

„Colour always sparks a powerful impact. Colour is an essential part of our existence.“ – Le Corbusier

For Le Corbusier, architecture did not consist only of floor plans and shapes. Colours with their potential and expressiveness were at least equal to him and therefore an essential part of every interior design. For this reason, he created a colour system with 63 architectural colours under the name “Polychromie architecturale.” Colours that are distinguished by their unique aesthetics and depth effect and that always enter into a perfect symbiosis when interacting with each other.
